A village website, made with care

Why it exists

Information about the village is spread across the Town Council website, Bandomovil, official gazettes, social media and conversations. Hontanares Online brings it together in one clear place, with links to the source and without turning local news into rumour.

What we are not

• We are not the official Town Council website.
• We are not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 112.
• We are not a political party or a campaign platform.
• We do not replace official channels: we cite and link to them.

What we are building

The first phase is the public website and the official notice data page. Neighbour accounts, the CMS, incidents, lost pets, comments and polls will follow.

Editorial content will be published from our own role-based admin panel. The community will have clear rules, pre-moderation and data protection.

How it is funded

There is no advertising or subscription at the moment. The project uses free tiers from Cloudflare and Supabase and a private server for Gitea. If costs appear in the future, they will be explained transparently.
